Terme de médecine. Qui naît avec. Maladie congénitale. Déplacements congénitaux.
   L'Académie dit congénital ou congénial. C'est une confusion vicieuse. Congénial dans le sens de congénital serait un barbarisme ; ces deux mots ont une signification et une origine différentes.
   Latin cum, et genitus, né (voy. génital) : né avec.
