alcaest ou alcahest
(al-ka-èst) s. m.
   Terme d'alchimie. Liqueur qui était supposée propre à guérir toute sorte d'engorgements.
   Dissolvant universel, capable de ramener tous les corps de la nature à leur première vie.
   Ce mot a été inventé par Paracelse, et ne paraît avoir aucune étymologie.
