fructification
(fru-kti-fi-ka-sion) s. f.
   Terme de botanique. Production de fruits.
   Les gens de la campagne vont ramasser les fleurs qui naissent sur les palmiers mâles, ils les attachent aux branches des palmiers femelles ou en secouent la poussière sur les grappes de ces derniers, et ils assurent que cette petite manipulation est toujours suivie d'une fructification plus abondante, BONNET Contempl. nat. VI, 7.
