   Mélange de certaines substances pour un but déterminé. Mixture frigorifique.
   J'avais soin d'enfoncer l'instrument dans cette mixture frigorifique, de manière que le grand vase fût complétement submergé, RUMFORD Instit. Mém. scienc. t. VI, p. 90.
   Terme de pharmacie. Médicament liquide qui résulte du mélange de substances diverses, et, en particulier, mélange liquide de médicaments très actifs destinés à être pris par gouttes sur du sucre, ou dans un verre d'eau.
   Mélange de céréales qu'on sème.
   XVIe s.
   Un petit linge trempé en la dite mixture, PARÉ XVIII, 17.
