   Terme de philosophie. Acte de la mémoire qui reconnaît une idée perdue pendant quelque temps, au moment même où la perception reproduit cette idée.
   Les Récognitions, ouvrage attribué faussement au pape saint Clément, mort à la fin du 1er siècle.
   Lat. recognitionem, de recognoscere (voy. reconnaître).
